A sport that can be played by man or woman, young and old, it is with some pride that Jaques of London can say they are still producing the highest quality croquet sets 160 years on from John Jaques II's first presentation. Reigate Croquet Club, reopened following the end of World War II, has grown in stature since, and is now one of Surrey’s most respected clubs.
The club’s popularity inspired this fine handmade croquet set, presented on a polished wooden stand similar to one made by Jaques in Edwardian times. Keep it on display in your entrance hall, instead of an umbrella stand, and you will attract many admirers!
It comes with 4 Full size, polished and handmade hardwood mallets with a set of 4 colour full size Challenge balls - ideal for family play, whether a serious competition game or the shorter golf croquet version. Included are a set of lovely heavy duty paint baked hoops, a painted winning post indicating order of play, a set of hoop clips, and the Jaques' Croquet Rulebook.
